Tim Doyle | It began for me on the morning of 9-11-2001and I could never get the images of people leaping out of the World Trade Center Towers[1] together with the onslaught of propaganda and half-truths spewing from the corporate media out of my mind. Additionally, being a 9-11truther while living in central Florida is not an ideal situation to begin with. After reading this article let it be known that as an Air Force veteran I will continue to fight this massive betrayal of the American people.
In order to understand the nature of the forces combating the 9-11 truth movement we must review a brief history of the blatant but covered-up transgressions of the PNAC (Project For the New American Century - Rebuilding America’s Defenses and the need for a New Pearl Harbor) cartel here in the state of Florida over the past few decades. The factors included in this discussion include the role played by former governor Jeb Bush, the advent of the neo-con mafia, the Fusion Project designed to spy on Americans at will, my own drafted 9-11 truth pamphlet representing a threat to the establishment and finally my encounter with a convicted felon by the name of Gregory L. Hoover at a 9-11 truth street rally in Orlando on June 11, 2009.
In a nutshell, Mr. Hoover defrauded hundreds, perhaps thousands of 9-11Ttruthers and anti-Glenn Beck folks to the tune of over $200,000 by claiming to file a lawsuit for defamation against Glenn Beck and FOX News over Beck’s tirade threatening to kill anyone who believed that 9-11 was an inside job. Hoover never intended to file any such lawsuit but he set up a Pay-Pal account to solicit donations for his expenses for such a lawsuit in June 2009. It wasn’t until August 27 that the internet site 911 Review exposed Hoover’s deceit and background criminal record.[2] However, the story doesn’t stop there. Although I do not have the concrete proof as yet, it is possible the CIA, FBI or the Florida Fusion Center contacted Mr. Hoover sometime before June 2009 for the specific purpose of disrupting 911 truth movement activities at the same time the Obama administration decided to crack down on the growing successes of the movement.[3] As a 9-11 investigative historian, I will attempt to explain my theory in detail along with supporting documented sources.
I will begin with our infamous former Florida governor Jeb Bush who seemed highly motivated in his campaign to run for governor during the republican revolution in 1994. His determinism and protestant work ethic paid off when he ran again after defeat and finally won four years later. Remember, Newt Gingrich’s revolution helped contribute to the so-called “defunding of the left.” I know the left vs. right paradigm is nothing but a false pretense; however, as far as the 9-11 truth movement is concerned, the defunding of investigative reporting by the mainstream media provided reporters a more difficult task to possibly uncover all the numerous 9-11 discrepancies. Also, after Jeb settled into office in January 1999 he signed on to the PNAC manifesto, no doubt emboldened by the republican majority stronghold in the state legislature. Jeb’s first unusual action occurred just four days before 9-11 when he signed an executive order effectively putting Florida under martial law.[4]
Jeb Bush’s second unusual action happened on the day of 9-11 when he was with his brother, the president. The following is a quote from my 911 truth pamphlet:
The nearby Venice, Florida Police obtained numerous files on Huffman Aviation and its owner Rudi Dekkers where Mohammad Atta and his cohorts trained for several months. When police Sergeant Marty Treanor was asked by investigative journalist Daniel Hopsicker about the files Treanor responded, “The FBI took all our files, everything. They loaded the files right outside this window into two Ryder trucks, then drove them right into a C-130 military cargo plane at the Sarasota airport, which took off for Washington with Jeb Bush aboard.”[5]
The history of southern Florida is laced with the presence of CIA covert operations or “black ops” as the term is generally known. Ever since the Bay of Pigs and “Operation Mongoose” in the early 1960’s, Florida’s southern retirement community seemed the perfect place to hide government underground activities, including 9-11. So, isn’t it a coincidence that President G.W. Bush’s administration picked Booker Elementary School in Sarasota to stage a “My Pet Goat” teach-in where he could receive help from his brother, the Governor, on the day of 9-11-2001? It’s just another unsolved 9-11 mystery, one of many.
Governor Bush’s third unusual action came during his last year of office in 2006 when the 9-11 truth movement was gaining momentum. Jeb Bush and the republican dominated state legislature passed stringent education reform laws which included provisions making the teaching of U.S. History in public schools in Florida more in line with “traditional” teaching methods rather than implementing a more liberal “historical revisionism” method. Under the new guidelines students would be taught that the Spaniards blew up the USS Maine, the Vietnam War is justified and Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK, no arguments. In other words, making the United States look bad is “verboten” along with mention of “conspiracy theories” even when newly unveiled documented proof is provided.[6]
In essence, the governorship of Jeb Bush followed a particular pattern of highly suspicious legislation and activities seemingly with the purpose of stifling possible dissent and suppressing evidence of a pre-planned event, an event such as 9-11, and then passing laws to ensure future generations remain ignorant of such an event. As another part of the plan the state would take measures with the aid of the federal government to ensure enforcement of such policies would trickle down to the local levels.
After the 2000 election when Florida became the laughing stock of the country and the world, one incident of interest occurred on November 22, 2000 signaling the infiltration of the neo-con mafia into the state. The neo-con mafia could be regarded as an extremist sect of the Republican Party in line with PNAC objectives where power, intimidation and the use of force are the order of the day. Dick Cheney could be labeled as the neo-con’s “unofficial” leader while many of his members and supporters acquired jobs with law enforcement from the notorious company formerly known as Blackwater.[7] A perfect example of a typical neo-con mafia power play involved the infamous November 22, 2000 Miami-Dade vote recount riot, a staged demonstration with the sole purpose of halting the recount of compromised ballots in Miami-Dade County. Surprisingly, the demonstration worked and the recount was stopped with no security present. The demonstrators were loud, rowdy and obnoxious, pounding on doors and creating havoc. In the picture provided by the website Radical Revolution some of the demonstrators were identified as aids of at least seven different Republican House Congressmen including Garry Malphrus, majority chief counsel and staff director of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on “criminal justice.”[8] In the neo-con universe, such hypocrisy is the norm.
If the neo-con goal of placing G.W. Bush in the White House by “rendition” seemed routine, then, covering up the means by which he attained his power base (9-11) would surely rank as a high priority. In order to maintain the cover-up a useful tool required to be appropriated, a tool designed to respond instantly when breaches of the cover-up occurred. This tool is known as the Fusion Project.
I first found out about the Fusion Project when I saw a brief summary of the subject on Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now show about the same time I met Mr. Hoover. The so-called intelligence “Fusion Centers” are an unknown secret to the American people, operating now for the last four years all over the country. Their purpose is nothing less than intelligence gathering and spying. The existence of these fusion centers were formed in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and all their physical locations remain secret. In an article published by Jim Leusner of the Orlando Sentinel for PoliceOne.com News, the fusion center in Orlando opened with the aid of a Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) grant of $850,000 in 2007. Also, Leusner interviewed the center’s director, Orange County Sheriff Capt. Mark Pilkington who said, “The center was set up in Orlando because it was centrally located and one of the nation’s top tourist destinations. In addition, the Sheriff’s office had a budget that could absorb expenses before being reimbursed by the federal government.”[9] It turns out that tourists are not the only targets for fusion centers.
Fortunately for ordinary people like us some, but very few, organizations exist who work to inform us of government misdeeds and abuse of power. One of these true patriotic groups is the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC). In a detailed report EPIC describes how state police and the FBI collaborate with secret contracts that limit the rights of citizens to learn what information the state police collect about them. For example, a litigation case is pending about such a matter in the state of Virginia, home of the alleged crash of Flight 77 along with numerous Pentagon employees and government officials. Furthermore, fusion centers disseminate “Memorandums of Understanding” whereby policies are set forth in an unlawful and unbinding fashion. To add further unaccountability, in a half-hearted attempt to accommodate individuals civil rights, the U.S. House passed a law titled “Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007” requiring civil liberty training of fusion center personnel and directing the DHS, not an independent agency, to produce a civil liberty impact statement. EPIC also stated, “In September 14, 2006 the DHS reported that 38 state and local information fusion centers supported by $380 million in federal dollars were operational.”
Background information regarding fusion centers originated from the Dept. of Defense (DOD) about a year after 9-11-2001. Back then the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) decided they needed to “fuse” intelligence information and they came up with a program that we now know as Total Information Awareness (TIA). The project required the most advanced technology be implemented for the creation of a “grand database” to accumulate financial, medical, communications and travel records along with intelligence data. This description correlates with what author Michael Ruppert describes in his book Crossing the Rubicon about the government’s revolutionary data mining PROMIS software, a program carrying blood on its hands.[10] Moreover, I recall that DARPA is the world’s leading manufacturer of airplane remote control technology, technology now in existence for at least the last 50 years.
In an astonishingly unbelievable report, EPIC describes the scope of fusion center activity. They point out individuals not under criminal investigation may be under scrutiny and one of the four major desired outcomes for fusion centers involve “the regulation of non-criminal conduct” meaning possibly 9-11 truth activities. EPIC lists fusion centers infiltration of institutions as data collection targets including the private sector and all aspects of public and private life. Just to name a few of these include, colleges and universities, public works, private security, transportation, ISP’s, preschools, civil records, cruise lines, sporting activities, DMV records and satellite TV providers, the list goes on. The list and all information about fusion centers can be found on EPIC’s report at
As far as Florida is concerned, in 1996 the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement (FDLE) created the Office of Statewide Intelligence (OSI). FDLE currently states that the “OSI is the core of the Florida Fusion Center.” One of the OSI’s focus teams is the Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Center (CTIC). CTIC cites September 11, 2001 as a mandate for existence. One of their duties is to monitor “domestic extremism,” a term again possibly referring to the 9-11 truth movement. An FDLE newsletter describes CTIC’s mission, “CTIC maintains an operational relationship with other state law enforcement agencies, as well as the FBI and DHS. The role of CTIC continues to evolve as their participation in the Florida Fusion Center grows. Recently, CTIC began providing information for DHS Information Reports that are disseminated not only to other law enforcement agencies, but to members of the United States Intelligence Community as well.[11]
As you can see the fusion centers display characteristics of a systematic progression of domestic spying reminiscent of a totalitarian state only much more sophisticated and technologically advanced than anything in the past. Think about it.
It’s no wonder in my tour of 9-11 truth street actions around the state of Florida that I noticed each local Sheriff’s Dept. stalking us continuously until we dispersed. I’m referring to the local County Sheriff in West Palm Beach, the Orange County Sheriff in Orlando, the Volusia County Sheriff in Daytona Beach and the Brevard County Sheriff in Melbourne. In one particular large street event of around 50 9-11 truth activists in Orlando sometime in early 2009, event organizer Joshua Parrish was confronted by an Orange County Sheriff officer who threatened to “put us all in Paddy Wagons” if we didn’t disperse. So we left and later regrouped at a different location. However, at the June 11 gathering I finally ran into Mr. Hoover.
On the outside Hoover seemed sincere and legitimate. He collected signatures from the group to use for his intended lawsuit against Glenn Beck. He was interviewed on radio by Alex Jones stating that he “stands for the true patriots.” Hoover put out a statement on his website about his own theories on 9-11as well as a plea for donations.[12]
A few weeks later I contacted Mr. Hoover for a meeting and he appeared interested in my extensive knowledge of 9-11and offered me to join his alleged “legal team,” a legal team that never existed or would exist in any way shape or form. In fact, he proposed to pay me to set up a 9-11 library in his office located in Merritt Island, FL. In other words, Hoover wanted to know everything I knew about 9-11. The problem is Hoover doesn’t own or rent an office anywhere. His ex-wife/girlfriend owns part of it and lets him use it. Hoover doesn’t own any property whatsoever and he stays at either his ex-wife’s house or at various hotels in the nearby city of Cocoa.
In another strange set of circumstances, it seemed Mr. Hoover knew a lot about me before I discovered his true intentions. For example, when I presented him with a copy of my 9-11 truth pamphlet which I alluded to earlier, Hoover came back to me in a few days to explain how popular the pamphlet was in California. Now there is no way he could have known that I mailed copies to California unless the Post Office told him. However, somehow I get the feeling that my pamphlet must have triggered a reactionary response from Fusion all the way up the “chain of command” from Jeb to the FBI and the White House. It must be ironic as I intended to draft the pamphlet in a short, clear and concise 8 page booklet easy to distribute and to accommodate the comprehension level of a typical middle school student, at least an 8th grader in my time. Unfortunately, now it’s probably equivalent at a level commensurate with an 11th grader or a high school senior, maybe. Nevertheless, it must have scared the pants off the powers that be, especially if the people understand it. In an email query to prominent investigative journalist Christopher Bollyn formerly of the American Free Press about four years ago, Bollyn is positive that I’m being tracked by the FBI. In 2006, Bollyn was beaten up and tasered by thugs posing as Hoffman Estates police officers in his own front yard most likely due to his investigative work on 9-11.[13] Perhaps that is why I felt something amiss when I noticed University of Central Florida campus security watching me every night while leaving to get into my car after my evening classes in Cocoa during the fall 2005 and winter 2006 semesters in addition to complimentary police escorts down Interstate 95.
It was Hoover himself who introduced me to a copy of the same EPIC report about the fusion centers as referred to in this article. The motivation to research such a subject came after both of us discovered we were being stalked and followed by every law enforcement agency in the area including the Brevard County Sheriff, local city police cruisers, state troopers, fire trucks using their sirens, helicopters and even Brevard Public School vehicles whose drivers looked more like neo-con mafia types rather than school officials. We also experienced close encounters with private company vehicles such as Brighthouse vans and Yellow Cab taxi’s. Apparently, Fusion’s strategy is to commandeer vehicles equipped with radios for the purpose of tracking targets. Since Mr. Hoover carries a suspended driver’s license I acted as his chauffer during all the commotion using my car, a car that I purchased from a member of “Celebrities For 9-11 Truth” retired Col. Dr. Bob Bowman who lives in the Space Coast area and is a good friend of mine. No doubt Fusion has him under scrutiny as well. In 2006 he ran for the local U.S. House seat and came closest to beating seven-term neo-con incumbent Dave Weldon losing only by 5 points (55-45) in neo-con controlled Brevard County.
A fortunate happenstance occurred when Mr. Hoover got into a spat with his ex-wife. She managed to throw out all his files in garbage bags from the office. Hoover in turn threw them into my car. Needless to say by the time I finally caught on to Hoover’s ruse I found myself in possession of his complete background history including his prison files. It turns out Hoover spent some time in the psycho ward at the state institution in Perry, FL. Hoover identifies with all 20 of Hare’s Psychopathic Checklist traits.[14] Also, I discovered a photo of Hoover with Jeb Bush during one of Jeb's run for governor campaigns. Hoover is wearing a Jeb campaign button on his suit. In the past the general rule of thumb in CIA and FBI black-op circles when planning a major undercover operation is to frame or recruit proven communists, undesireables and criminals as patsies (a la Oswald, Atta and Hoover respectively) to put the blame on. There is no evidence to suggest this successful tactic subsided. Historian Webster Griffin Tarply explains the patsy scenario well in his book 9/11 Synthetic Terror. However, in our case Hoover is still alive and can be held accountable.
Now we come to Mr. Hoover’s Pay-Pal account. Hoover stated to me the last time I saw him that his Pay-Pal account contained over $200,000. If this is true, and it seems it could be, then he needs to be held accountable for his fraud perpetrated on the 9-11 truth movement. I have the proof he is transferring funds from his Pay-Pal account to his own bank account.
However, unfortunately it has recently come to my attention that attorneys and legal professionals all over the country refuse to take part in any lawsuit dealing with 9-11. I have tried myself with no luck. In fact, it seems anything to do with civil liberties is also a taboo subject. If you look in the phone book try to find an attorney listed under civil liberties, there is none. There may have been one in the past but not now. I can only file my case with law enforcement and hope for the best. Many others have filed against Hoover but he still manages to squeak out of jail time through evasions and court delays. He is not stupid. Hopefully in the end justice will prevail.
I can only say that it seems like we now live in a totally different environment than the one I grew up in. As a 53 year old historian I remember the 1960’s. I feel like we are living in an evil, parallel universe like the one portrayed in an original episode of Star Trek. You remember the one with Spock with a beard; a universe where war, violence, treachery, spying and torture are the norm. If things don’t turn around soon, and I see no indications that they are, we may all end up in a torture booth in some internment camp in the near future.
